As of February 2009 Sask Sport, Sask Culture and Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association established an amalgamation of regions in order to enhance Sport, Culture and Recreation delivery in the province. What were once known as Sport "Zones" are now known as "Districts." These changes are listed below and can be seen in the new District Map. • Zone 1 = SOUTHEAST CONNECTION SPORT, CULTURE & RECREATION DISTRICT
• Zone 2 = REGINA SPORT DISTRICT
• Zone 3 = SOUTHWEST DISTRICT FOR CULTURE RECREATION & SPORT
• Zone 4 = PARKLAND VALLEY SPORT CULTURE & RECREATION DISTRICT
• Zone 5 = PRAIRIE CENTRAL DISTRICT FOR SPORT, CULTURE & RECREATION
• Zone 6 = SASKATOON DISTRICT
• Zone 7 = RIVERS WEST DISTRICT FOR SPORT CULTURE & RECREATION
• Zone 8 = LAKELAND DISTRICT FOR SPORT, CULTURE & RECREATION
• Zone 9 = NORTHERN SPORT CULTURE & RECREATION DISTRICT
