Community Grants Available
Map Funding
Membership Assistance Program (MAP) Funding will be disbursed upon receipt of a completed Accreditation Package from each district/community. Upon approval of the accreditation package, the district/community will receive 75% of the approved MAP funding, with the remaining 25% to be paid to the district/community at the end of the fiscal year providing that the district/community has abided by all of the criteria stated in the accreditation application and has submitted all quarterly reports with the required documentation. The quarterly reports will serve as the required follow-up reports for this type of funding; no other follow-up forms are required. The maximum amount of MAP funding a district/community is eligible to receive is a preset amount (determined by SaskSport) multiplied by the number of volunteers and athletes the district/community will be registering for the current program year. Only those volunteers who have completed registrations that is volunteers with both registration forms and valid criminal record checks on file by October 15th will be counted in the MAP number.
For example, if your district/community is registering 40 members as of October 15th (25 athletes and 15 volunteers), MAP funding would be calculated by multiplying the total number of members by the preset amount (i.e. 40 members x $8.00* = $320.00).
*This amount varies from year to year and $8.00 is used in this case as an example only
