Become a Volunteer
Step 1: Making ContactContact your local Special Olympics Executive or Special Olympics Saskatchewan via phone 1-888-307-6226, email, or fax, and notify them that you are interested in volunteering.
Step 2: Volunteer Registration FormSpecial Olympics Saskatchewan or your local community executive will provide you with the Volunteer Registration Form. You can also download this form by clicking on the above link. Please inform us about your contact information, what areas you would like to volunteer in, and any qualifications you may have.
Step 3: ScreeningComplete the Criminal Record Check form that you obtained from either your local community executive or Special Olympics Saskatchewan. You can also download this form by clicking on the forms tab to the right. Personally submit this form to your local RCMP/Police authorities for them to inquire. This is strictly for risk management purposes to ensure that all volunteers and athletes are safe and protected.
Step 4: Volunteer OrientationEach new volunteer will receive a Volunteer Orientation Handbook. Download Volunteer Handbook
Step 5: Submission of FormsSubmit the completed Volunteer Registration Form, Criminal Record Check, and the Confirmation Disclaimer of the Volunteer Orientation Handbook to your local community executive who will then forward it along with the registration fee to the provincial office.
Step 6: Clearance to VolunteerAfter the provincial office reviews and processes your information, you will have clearance to volunteer with your accredited Special Olympics Community. If you have any questions about volunteering, please contact
